Secondary English Language Curriculum

The development as well as the application of the 21st Century curriculum and assessment

Students need to develop necessary skills to keep up with the global economy, as outlined in the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013–2025.

Every students should be proficient in the English language according to the standard of Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages

The Standards-Based English Language Curriculum (SBELC) is developed by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia (MOE) and Cambridge English, United Kingdom (CE)

The Aims of SBELC

Pupils are able to communicate confidently, proficiently and competently

Be knowledgeable and respectful of other cultures

Be able to make calculated decisions through critical and analytical thinking

Pupils are capable of collaborating with others to solve problems creatively and innovatively
